Taking its name from the winding lane that stands opposite the Lit & Phil, the Pudding Chare Music Festival celebrates the rich chamber music repertoire each Summer, showcasing young classical musicians from the North East and further afield who are currently training at conservatoires and universities around the country.

During the festival week, talented teenaged musicians from the local area receive coaching from the festival musicians and performance opportunities. Our festival musicians also perform in primary schools around Newcastle with the aim of inspiring the next generation of musicians.

We are currently planning the 2025 Festival so keep checking back as events will announced at the beginning of 2025.
